Cursed

Seriously underrated Hardcore band from Toronto, Cursed had a good run between 2001-2008 after which they parted ways due to having been robbed blind in Germany during a tour. Members went on to do a bunch of stuff, such playing in Burning Love (catch them in April with Converge and Loma Prieta), Crux of Aux, or running the High Anxiety label, among other things.

Hoax

A quality Hardcore band from Western Massachusetts. Caught them in Toronto at Siesta Nouveau about two weeks ago with SQRM (featuring members of Hoax) and some solid locals. Special mention goes to Purity Control. I'll hook up a link if I can find one -- they've got a 7" coming out on High Anxiety soon.
